Though they’ve long been dormant, these shrines reactivated with the rise of the Voek tower at the start of Season 1.
Appearance
The marble-like stone these shrines are made of is uniquely Voek architecture, similar to the towers on each island. A basin at the center contains water raised from deep within the earth, which often attracts sprites.
The pillars surrounding the basin are thought to help channel the magical energy contained within.
Cultural Significance
The Voek are said to have believed that what we put into the world, we get back in kind — usually when we least expect it. These shrines store vast amounts of powerful energy, amplifying the intentions of those who have visited them.
