Flora & Fauna

Rushi

Rushi is a glowrat, small mammals common to the grasslands of Morian Island. They get their name from the gemstone at the end of their curved tails, which can glow and bait prey.

Rushi was released in-game with Episode 5 of Story Mode.

Appearance

Glowrats are mostly brown and tan in color, apart from a few distinct features: the vibrant fur around their eyes; the matching, leaf-like appendages on their heads; and the colored gemstone at the tip of their tails. These gemstones can be any color — red, blue, green, yellow, and so forth.

Intelligent creatures, glowrats use these shiny objects to lure prey into traps of their own devising, which they make from natural components like twigs and grass as well as human-made materials.

While the leafy appendages atop their heads serve no functional purpose, they surprisingly do help camouflage glowrats with the grasses, bushes, and wildflowers of their most common home, the Drunwood Lowlands of Morian Island. Only male glowrats bear these beautiful markings.

Ecology

The glowrat’s diet consists of grain, seeds, and fruit as well as insects, snails, fish, mussels, and occasionally even small birds or reptiles.
